The Troll A Platform is the concrete base of an oil rig located in the North Sea. A marvel of human engineering and ingenuity, the structure is 472 meters tall, weighs 1.2 million tons, and was mathematically maximized to withstand incredible pressure and weight. It was constructed on land and transported to the North Sea via ship, making it the tallest man-made structure to have ever been moved from one place to another.
